For Jennifer King, the example her parents set for her is one she’s always tried to emulate as a mother, making sacrifices and working hard to support her children and give them the greatest possible opportunities. When circumstances changed and she had to rely on herself as a single mother, all of that became of even greater importance. “Some moms are rock star professionals. Some moms are stay-at-home heroes. I like to think I fall somewhere in the middle. Everyone has their path, and even though mine doesn’t look the way I thought it would, I’m blessed and know I was placed right where I needed to be.
